The Piri Reis University Sea Campus has been Awarded First Prize in the 2019 Institutional ISO Energy Competition

 

The Piri Reis University Sea Campus was awarded first prize in the special category of ISO Energy Efficiency for Institutions. ISO (Istanbul Chamber of Industry) awards prizes for energy efficiency. In this competition the “greener” products of Turkey’s established institutions compete against each other in the area of energy-saving products and reduced raw material consumption, and have produced studies associated with  sustainabaility and environmental management.

 

 

This traditional ISO energy competition is held under the auspicies of ISO chair, Mr Erdal Bahçivan and was attended by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Mr Fatih Dönmez. Several companies received awards in their respective fields – energy efficent products and energy efficiency products, as were academicians in the special categories of intra-university and industrial co-operation, and companies in institutional and technological locations. Piri Reis University Rector Prof. Dr. Oral Erdoğan received the first prize in the ISO energy efficiency category personally from Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Mr Fatih Dönmez.

 

 

The Sea Campus of Piri Reis University, awarded first prize in the special category of the 2019 ISO energy efficiency competition, has previously received second prize in the special category of ISO environmental institutional awards for 2018. This is the first and only such campus in Turkey qualified for BREEAM certification
